Jazz Central

Jazz Central is a jazz group based in Johannesburg which has become popular for weddings and functions in the past few years. The reasons for this are many: An ‘easy-to-listen-to' Jazz repertoire consisting of favourite songs and jazz standards from the American Songbook - as well as a wide range of Latin music - and the real bonus is that they play a wide range of current ‘Afro-Jazz’ hits. 

Jazz Central consists of Saxophone, Bass and Keyboard - although sometimes a vocalist is added to group is requested. The group is flexible and depending upon the client’s budget can play with more musicians (ie adding a drummer, trumpet or trombone to the core group) or even play just as a duo (Saxophone and Keyboard) if required.

Jazz Central has been instrumental in encouraging new local talent and has given a platform to many up and coming artists in the local music scene. The group is continually exploring and innovating in terms of the current trends in South African music.
