Ou Tribalist DJ

Ou Tribalist DJ‎ is one of the prominent House music DJs in Cape Town.

He began his career around 2006 in the local Taverns of Guguletu as a resident DJ.‎  He had his big break shortly after he met DJ Rabs Vhafuwi ‎on May 2010 where he was a resident DJ at ‎Pisto's Lounge in Guguletu, he then also was introduced to KenlowDJ at MarimbaCTICC ‎a few months after he met DJ Rabs Vhafuwi‎. ‎

With an appeal that trancends racial boundaries, his unique style of House music contains deep tribal influences, blending well with a myriad of diverse genres.

His career was launched when his idols KenlowDJ and Rabs Vhafuwi‎ took him under their wing, offering a him the opportunity to perform a number few high profile sets, exposing him to a new set of fans and the DJ community alike. Soon after, he joined the ‎group Pincode Concepts which ‎was owned by KenlowDJ‎.

It wasn't long before Ou Tribalist started to play alongside other famous South African and International DJs such as BlackCoffee, BlackMotion‎, DJ Tira‎, BigNuz, DJ Oskido, DJ Bongs,DJ Ralph Gum‎, DJ Zinhle, DJ Sbu and many more.

A tour of KZN in 2013 was a career highlight; not only did he perform several successful sets in Durban and Pietermaritzburg ‎Stadium alongside DJ Sabza Nene‎, AKA‎, DJ Bongs ‎,Black Motion, Milkshake, White Coffee and other Durban local‎ DJs; it was also his first time ever on a plane! And with the motto “Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful”‎, there are sure to be many more national and international trips in store for Ou Tribalist DJ.
