Indlondlo Zulu Dancers

Location: Based in Durban



INDLONDLO ZULU DANCERS have performed across South African and beyond.  This traditional Zulu dance group's aim is to educate and uplift the the youth, by developing their talent and empowering them through cultural dance, performance, and acting.  

The group has performed at countless government events, tourism, award ceremonies, corporate events and private functions.

  • Winners of Sishayingoma Competition 2013, organised by the Playhouse Company
  • University of KwaZulu-Natal Sport Awards Ceremony in 2013 in Edgewood, Pinetown.
  • Performed With Artists from Burundi, Senegal, Nigeria, India, Botswana and Lesotho at Gugu Dlamini Park in Durban during African Cup of Nations in South Africa, and welcoming teams, guests and officials at King Shaka International Airport, January 2013.
  • Special Olympics Awards held at Pietermaritzburg City Hall, July 2014
  • Department of Education's launch of Masijabule High School building @ KwaSwayinane near Pietermaritzburg, August 2014
  • 1000 Hills Community Helpers Heritage Day in Inchanga, September 2014
  • Unilever South Africa management meeting in La Lucia, October 2014
  • Nominated for a South African Traditional Music Achievements (SATMA) Award 2014, and performed at the main event at the University of Hare, East London
  • 2nd runners up at Ushaka Marine World Zulu Dance Competition, November 2014
  • Performances on various passenger liners in Durban Harbour during 2015:  Seabourn Sojourn Passenger Liner from New York, USA; THE WORLD from USA
  • 2015 Winners of The Playhouse Company - Sishayingoma Competition, 2015
  • 9th South African Traditional Music Awards Live on SABC 1, 2015
  • Performed at Playhouse theatre for Taxi Drive show on the 14th of April 2015 in Durban
  • Gud Holdings Cultural day in Pietermaritzburg and Durban Offices, April 2015
  • Performances and teaching to Durban Mental Health Day Care Centre students in Cato Ridge, KwaXimba, 2015
  • KZN Wildlife Tourism Heritage Campaign in St Lucia, Isimangaliso Wetland Park, September 2015
