Ian

Ian is an experienced one man act, playing guitar (electric and acoustic) with harmonica and vocals. With his trusted motto of "playing to the audience", Ian's repertoire covers a wide range of genres including Folk, Rock, Jazz, Blues, Country, Pop, Swing, and Traditional South African. 

Depending on the event he would start with a few ambience instrumentals, typically Santana, George Benson, Shadows or similar and move on to familiar tunes that his audience relates to. He is proficient in a large repertoire of familiar tunes in different genres ranging from oldies to some new songs. For high energy dance events, he switches to up-tempo tunes in the genre they like - as alwasy, ‘play to the audience’!

Ian has performed at various events over the years including art festivals, Carnival City (as duo), Eastgate Foodcourt, Private Estate events, Design Quarter food court, various restaurants and other public venues. He is also part of a duo, adding to  his genre list Motown, R&B, Jazz, Funk, Music of Africa and the House genre.
