Dax Peacock

Dax Peacock, South Africa’s Classical crossover sensation hails from the majestic city, Cape Town. His sound is inspired by the likes of Michael Bublé, Three Tenors, Josh Groban, and many of the Classical Greatest.

Dax has been passionate about music from a tender age. At the age of 8 he was chosen to sing LEANORD COHEN’S HALLELUJAH with a now very well-known Baritone, Johannes Slabbert who performs Opera around the world.  It was at this time that Dax was drafted into the World Famous Tygerberg Childrens Choir, who went on to win the World Choir Games Championship. He has chosen to use his talent and represent those who face challenges so common to the youth today.

“I’m a very creative and dedicated person, which is the one thing that makes me certain that I can achieve anything. I have drive, determination and most of all, people are my passion. And the message in my music highlights just that. Music and entertaining are my true my love”, says Dax.

Dax respects his craft, he eats, breaths and lives music. When he is performing on stage, audiences are captivated by this strong, commanding and emotive voice coming out of such a young person.

It is through this drive that allowed him to be selected as an actor from the age of 3. He has also recently been featured lead in THE EXORCIST Discovery Channel Intertional (Sony Pictures), SAINTS & STRANGERS a 4 part series (Warner Bros), TUTENKHAMUN (ITV, Britain.  Dax will appear as a lead actor in season 2 of NATURAL KILLERS (USA) in series 6, he begins shooting in May 2016.  He has received both classical voice and drama coaching from SA’s best coaches.  Dax also dances and has been featured in Musical Theatre Productions.

Towards the end of 2015, Dax was asked to co-host a radio show on Coastal Radio SA, the show achieved such success that he has been given his own Radio Show – 5 days a week on Coastal Radio Prime time from 12H00  - 15H00 C.A.T. SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW, THE DAX PEACOCK SHOW can be heard week days on www.coastalradiosa,com  around the world.

Dax writes his own songs and has just completed recording his first two original ballads, his second album will be released within 2017.

He has allowed himself to dream and to believe in his dream. He has always known his path and nothing has swayed him from the ‘Dream’ to entertain on an International level with his mighty voice – now not only in song, but as a Radio Host.

In 2015 Dax released his debut album called DREAM which has three original songs written for him, and covers rescored by Dax. The album is a blend of Contemporary, Classical Crossover and Musical Theatre.
