Absolutely Fabulous Duo

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS DUO, consisting of Lisa "Mynx" Hugo on Lead Vocals and Sean "Styx" Nunan on drums, is one of Cape Town’s premier duos.

Both Sean and Lisa have been playing music professionally since leaving school and understand the importance of connecting with and entertaining their guests all of the time. ‘Our Repertoire is KEY to giving our audience what they want to hear and making sure that the songs we perform make their evening an enjoyable and memorable occasion.’ says Sean. We have worked hard on ensuring that we have the right mix of songs in our repertoire to please all our guests, and are always expanding our repertoire to add as much value as we can to our guests and venue owners alike.

Both members are seasoned musicians and have spent years honing their skills as entertainers. Lisa has an incredible tone and range to her voice and is able to sing almost any style of music, while Sean is a sensational drummer having applied his trade for over 25 years. The band recently was interviewed and performed Live on DSTV’s CTV My City Arts & Culture Program.

With an unbelievably large TOP 40 repertoire of over 400 party hits ranging from 1960’s classics to current Pop / Dance and everything in-between, this is the perfect party band for any occasion including New Years Eve festivities, birthday parties, special occasions, weddings and corporate functions.

CORPORATE EVENTS
Absolutely Fabulous is also the perfect Duo to perform at your corporate function while guests are enjoying a meal, snacks and cocktail drinks or even a lazy weekend picnic in the company of their friends and families. The band’s Big Band Swing dinner repertoire is designed for upmarket hotels and fine dining restaurants, cocktail lounges, outdoor markets as well as picnic spots and wine estates. They specialise in performing popular ballads, love songs, smooth Jazz and Big Band Swing classics in this setting.

PUBS RESTAURANTS AND CLUBS
The band is a fulltime entity and they perform regularly at venues across Cape Town 4-6 nights a week. Playing an average of 200 gigs per year, their motto is LET US ENTERTAIN YOU!, and they thrive on providing a fun and memorable night out.

The band provides a full solution including Full PA System, Backline Equipment, Smoke and Lighting (If required) and their rig can easily handle sound for up to 200 guests.
